Barcelona forward Thierry Henry was absent from training with the team ahead of their Champions League Semi Final clash with Manchester United due to an illness.
Henry was on the bench for Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Espanyol but never came on. He is suffering from a fever and is a big doubt for the match on Wednesday night.
Barcelona also had to do without Ronaldinho, Lillian Thuram, Jose Edmilson and Albert Jorquera for the training session today.
Ronaldinho and Jorquera are long term injury victims, while midfielder Edmilson was at the gym trying to sort out his back problem which has been giving him problems for the past few weeks.
Lillian Thuram was allowed to rest in the morning but was expected to train in the afternoon.
Some good news for Barcelona ahead of the match was that Oleguer Presas was back in training after he injured his hand.
Barcelona’s next training session will take place on Tuesday night, just 24 hours before the match at the Nou Camp and it will become clear then who will be fit and who will miss out.
