Birmingham are set to hold talks with Qatar side Al-Sadd about signing Mauro Zarate permanently. The 21 year old striker cost Al-Sadd £10 million a year ago and they will no doubt want to re-coup that money. Other big clubs from the Premier League are watching the Argentine star including Liverpool, Newcastle and Tottenham.
If Championship side Sheffield Wednesday stay up then Sunderland striker David Connolly will join them.
Several Premier League teams have made an approach for Ghana star John Mensah including Reading and one other un-named club, but Portsmouth look favorites to sign him up.
Three Championship teams are wtaching Leicester striker DJ Campbell. Watford, Charlton and Cardiff are all chasing the forward.
Wolves and Sheffield Wednesday are looking at Scunthorpe goalkeeper Joe Murphy who feels he needs to leave Glumford Park to further his chances of playing international football for Northern Ireland.
Scottish side Falkirk have been told by Pedro Moutinho’s agent that they will lose the Portuguese star if they don’t offer him a new deal soon.
