If Aston Villa manage to beat Wigan then they’d be able to finish in the top seven and make sure they grab an InterToto Cup place. Martin O’Neill will be looking for his side to carry momentum from their previous two games into the last two matches of the season and pick up maximum points against Wigan and West Ham.
Wigan are still in with a chance of going down, although they are only a point from safety. Steve Bruce will be hoping that his side can secure their place in the Premiership for next season on Saturday rather than having to go into the last match of the season needing to win. They face Man Utd on the last day of the season and if Wigan need to win to stay up and Man Utd need to win to win the Premier League title it will be a difficult game for The Latics.
